Billing

Credit packages, fractional usage, promo credits, top-ups, budgets, and BYOK policy.

Billing is organization-scoped and based on Alumia credits. One credit equals $0.01 of managed usage value, and model usage, platform services, storage, collaboration, and other metered work draw fractional credits from monthly, promo, top-up, refund, or adjustment buckets according to the pricing shown in the app.

Subscription plans

Alumia offers Personal, Pro, Team, and Business packages for the product tier a team needs. Usage remains transparent: model and tool costs are metered as credit microunits, and the Billing page shows the active package, buckets, top-ups, payment methods, monthly and promo credit buckets, invoices, budgets, and usage.

Top-ups use Billing Stripe Elements in the dashboard (/api/v1/billing/top-ups/payment-intent). Subscription checkout redirects through Stripe-hosted Checkout when you pick a paid package, and subscription payment methods, tax IDs, invoices, and receipts are managed through Billing Stripe routes.

Signup promotion

Alumia has a real early-bird promotion: the first 1,000 eligible users receive 1,000 promo credits after phone verification. Promo credits are Billing credit buckets, not cash.

Managed provider billing

Alumia can run managed models against your package credits, or you can bring your own provider key. BYOK model tokens cost 0 Alumia credits; Alumia-paid infrastructure such as browser, sandbox, voice, domains, and storage remains capped or metered separately by package policy.

Budgets, top-ups, and invoices

The Billing page exposes monthly credit packages, scoped credit budgets (GET/PUT /api/v1/billing/budgets), Stripe top-ups (POST /api/v1/billing/top-ups/payment-intent), sanitized invoices and receipts (GET /api/v1/billing/invoices), and subscription/tax management through the Billing Portal. Budget thresholds warn before hard caps stop managed spend. Credits are usage units, not stored cash; Agent Wallet reserves and card settlements remain separate.
